Morelia

Today Terry & Vanda went horseback riding. The rest of us took the local bus into Morelia. We had to get off on the periferico and take a collectivo to the center. 10 of us plus another 6 or 7 Mexicans shoe-horned into a small van. There was  a big protest near the Cathedral over the gas price increases, riot police, the works. That prevented the open air tour buses from running so we basically hung around the center.

Tonight Arturo (the RV Park owner) took us to the home of Jacabo Dominguez, a local artist , musician & chef. It was a unique place. The guy specializes in Paper Mache and donates the profits to single women & disadvantaged children. It was lot of fun. Terry stayed behind complaining about saddle soreness. She has to ride them tomorrow when we go to the Monarch reserve. Neither of us have been there before, so if she can't go, it's her own silly fault.
