Guanajuato

We drove to Guanajuato today, probably my favorite Mexican Colonial city. Much better than the overrated Gringo enclave of San Miguel Allende.  None of the group had been to the mummy museum before, so I took them all there. One of the coolest places in the world. 119 mummified bodies on display including the worlds smallest mummy, a 6 month old fetus, complete with its actual mummy who is also a mummy. The other cool thing about Guanajuato is its unique network of underground streets. Gabriels son Bernie, who is going to travel with us for the rest of the trip to help his training as a tour guide met us here. His English is much improved since he accompanied one of our caravans 2 years ago.

  1. Thanks but no thanks on the mummy museum. Would like to see GTO, though.
