Mariposas

Finally, a bucket list item ticked off, the Monarch Butterfly Reserve in Michoacan. It was a 2.5 hour bus ride in which we climbed to over 9000 feet. The ocuntryside at that point looks pretty much the same as British Columbia. We had a 20 minute horseback ride, followed by a 10 minute walk to get to the reserve. Tomas got his own seat on the bus, which made him very happy.
