Palenque

Very enjoyable day today and good weather. This morning we toured Palenque. This the 4th time I have been here in the last 30 years. 2 times in sun and once in pouring rain and it was a very different feel.

At noon we returned to the Hotel/RV Park and Salvadore, the guide, cooked a BBQ for everyone in front of the river here.

After we drove to Cascadias Bascan. Agua Azul is the big toursit spot, but it has suddenly dried up after the September earthquake and they haven't yet figured out why. That meant a few more tourists have found their way to Bascan than was the case when I was there in February, but it was still most enjoyable.
