Goodbye Chetumal

We find ourselves with an extra day in hand and everybody voted to go ahead one day also we have a free day in Palenque. Everybody has enjoyed this RV Park despite the rains. So today we will drive 2 hours, dry camp at a Pemex, overnight, and do a trip into the remote, impressive ruins of Calakmul. This is the first time we have done it this way on a caravan, so its experimental new territory. We will take a cooler of beer with us, as there are no facilities in there. We will tweak it for spring. Should be an adventure. Will report back when I have net access next.
