Oaxaca Pt 2

Tomas is doing much better today, his appetite is back.

We took tours today. First we went to Hierve de Agua, site of one of only 2 petrified waterfalls in the world (the other is in Turkey). Fascinating place, I have never seen a spring bubbling up at the top of a 1000 ft rock bluff before. Wonderful swim. After, we went to a weavers house where his wife showed us how they produce dyes from plants. Then we went to a Mezcal distillery where we we sampled several bottles (enough to get us impaired) and were treated to fried grasshopper snacks. Klingon food. Yum.

Wonderful day. The falls are definitely a keeper. Oddly enough they were substitute for a small town market that did not happen today. Much better, as we have already been to plenty of markets. Everyone gave this one 20 out 10. Have  to talk to the boss about making it part of the normal caravan tours.
