Campeche to Uxmal

We drove to Uxmal today, only a 2.5 hour drive. We are dry camped in the parking lot of the archaeological site. Had to drive 16 km to another town to get some gas for our generator. It was 37 C when we arrived and Terry has a cold & slight fever, so wanted the A/C big time. We decided to eat at the restaurant on site. Pretty well had to take out a mortgage, it would have been expensive by Canadian standards. Most entrees were about $30 Canadian. When prices are in US dollars and Euros as well, you now you are in trouble. We plan to visit the ruins early tommorrow before any tour buses arrive and when its hopefully still cool.
