This morning we took a 2 hour tour to La Venta park where the giant Olmec heads are located. These weigh up to 25 tons. The Olmec culture is the earliest in Central America, about 3000 years old. The giant carvings were actually found about 100 miles away in La Venta but have been moved to the park in Villahermosa.
We decided to move on to Isla Aguada at noon. The roads were in far better shape than yesterday and we arrived before dark. Only problem was one long-narrow town which had over 30 topes.
