Belize

We crossed into Belize today and took a tour to the Mayan ruins of Lamanai, which also involved a 25 mile trip up the New River. It was strange to see English everywhere. To be quite frank it was not worth it. By the time all was said & done, what with having to pay entry & exit fees on both sides, it cost us $150 US apiece. Part of it was  a bribe on the Mexican side since you are not allowed to leave Mexico while you have a permitted vehicle left behind. The way things are.
